Since 2017 the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig is meant to be Germany’s most beautiful hiking path – choosen be readers of magazine “Wandermagazin”. And indeed this path which we followed from the Saar winding close to Mettlach to the city of Trier shows an amazing variety and beauty of nature with small creeks, mighty forests and hills. This is the perfect starting point for a few days of relaxation and mindfulness.

Zillertal Hike

One week hiking in the mountains following the Peter-Habeler-Runde, a round-trip within the Zillertal Alps. On 6 days some of the Zillertal summits can be surrounded or climbed. This path has been dedicated to the austrian extreme climber Peter Habeler on his 70. birthday.

Wandern und Fotografieren können durch die Anwendung von Methoden des Zen eine Bereicherung und neue Sinnhaftigkeit erfahren.

Rund um ein mehrtägiges Zen Seminar (Sesshin) im Benediktushof Holzkirchen, bot sich mir die Gelegenheit, alle 3 Aspekte in direkter Beziehung zueinander zu erfahren. Konkret hiess es, mit Bahn und Bus das Rhein-Main-Gebiet Richtung Hochspessart zu verlassen und an zwei Tagen nach Holzkirchen in Unterfranken zu wandern. Gleichermassen nach Ende des Zen Seminars mit neuen Einsichten und Inspirationen wieder den Rückweg anzutreten.
